Rev Advisor is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use Rev Advisor:
- Device Identifier — A unique device ID used solely for managing your subscription status through RevenueCat. This is never linked to your personal identity.
- Purchase History — Records of in-app subscription purchases processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card information.
- App Usage Data — Anonymous interaction data such as which screens you visit and features you use, used to improve the app experience.
- Vehicle and Build Data — The vehicle selections and build plans you generate are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store this data on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To manage and verify your subscription tier (Free, Pro, or Elite)
- To prevent fraudulent subscription activity
- To improve app performance and features
- To respond to support requests you initiate
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Rev Advisor uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- RevenueCat — Subscription management. Collects device identifiers and purchase history for fraud prevention. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI generation of build plans and dyno simulations. Prompts are sent to Anthropic's API via our secure backend. We do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store — Handles all payment processing. We never see your payment card details.
- Amazon Associates / eBay Partner Network — Affiliate links in the app may track clicks for commission purposes. These links direct you to third-party retailer sites.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your build plans and vehicle selections are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are never transmitted to our servers. Subscription data is managed securely by RevenueCat. We use industry-standard security practices for our backend API.
5. Children's Privacy
Rev Advisor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of data collection where applicable

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
